In the Spring of 2021, in response to the needs created by the year-long pandemic, instead of the traditional granting process of both original organizations, the CCFOWR will be supporting Catholic school families through a gift card program. These gift cards are intended to give a hand up to families in both school and parish communities who require urgent support. The cards are primarily intended for food but can also be utilized to fund other essentials, including medicine, diapers, personal hygiene products. Other unique essential needs which you identify for your families, may also qualify for funding support.
This program will span March to August 2021 or until the funds are exhausted. Interested parties should contact their Catholic school principal or parish priest for more details.
In the Spring of 2021, in response to the needs created by the year-long pandemic, instead of the traditional granting process of both original organizations, the CCFOWR is supporting our community not-for-profit partners through a hand-up grant opportunity. This one-time funding support is acknowledging the challenges we all face, not only because of the additional demands created by COVID 19, but in recognition of the lack of opportunity for traditional fundraising programs. A maximum grant of $5,000.00 will be available to support the operation of your ongoing programs related to youth and families in Waterloo Region.
This program will span March to June 2021 or until the funds are exhausted. Interested parties should contact Vic Degutis, CCFOWR President through email: VicDegutis@outlook.com for more details.
Traditional School &
Community Grants Program
In October 2021, the board of directors will evaluate community support needs and the financial capacity of the Foundation to support the traditional grants programs moving forward. A critical consideration will be the fundraising success of the organization throughout this year. Proceeds from fundraising initiatives such as the annual Bishop’s Banquet, the annual Links fore Learning Golf Classic, a WCDSB payroll deduction program and other new fundraising projects will be the key determinant.
Of course, the generosity shown by our community through direct donations will also be important.
